Architecture, Interiors and Renovation in Italy

This journal is a space where I share the reality of working with architecture, interiors and renovation projects in Italy.  Beyond the idealized image often associated with Italian design.

Here you’ll find reflections and experiences from real projects. The beauty of historic buildings, the complexity of renovation processes, local regulations, construction challenges, craftsmanship and the atmosphere that makes Italian interiors unique. I write about spaces with history, materials that age beautifully, and the balance between preserving character and introducing contemporary solutions.

Many articles focus on the practical side of renovation in Italy — permits, documentation, construction timelines and the unexpected situations that often appear during works in historic buildings. At the same time, this journal explores the emotional and visual side of architecture. Colors, textures, light and the details that create the identity of a space.

I also occasionally write about BIM, especially how it can help organize projects, improve communication during construction and make renovation processes more efficient.

Based in Genoa, this journal combines architecture, interiors and everyday observations from working and living in Italy.
